Linda Wissler Linda Wissler was born in Los Angeles, California. She now resides in Star, ID after living in Provence, France from 2002- 2010. “The light in Provence and California are a joy for the plein air painter". She began drawing at an early age and received a teen scholarship to Art Center College in Los Angeles. Her university years were spent in Colorado where she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Denver School of Art and post-graduate studies at Otis Art Institute in Los Angeles. After traveling extensively in Europe and the U.S. she returned to California where she painted and taught art in the California Public Schools and at California State University Fullerton. Over the years she has found her inspiration in nature all over the world. She currently is a member of the Southern California and Idaho Plein Air Painters Association and a member of Les Rats des Champs Plein Air Painters, based in Paris, France. Her works are in private and corporate collections in the U.S. and abroad. She also teaches art on the Crystal, Viking, Silversea and Seabourn Cruise Lines. |
